Road to Lincoln 2017

Apparently no interest in Lincoln this year? Adam has failed by nearly 3 months to post this thread so here it is.

Whose going, what's your plans, what are your goals?

I'm going in the MG in DMod. Goal is to have fun and finish. No real performance target at this time though I'm sure as the event approaches I'll delude myself into thinking I have a shot at trophies which I will fail to achieve ruining my have fun goal. I plan to do mostly CCSCC events but want to try to get to Grissom once and Chicago maybe a few events. Looking for a codriver to warm tires and help with the car.

So who else is going? I'll post the tour schedule as soon as I can find it in a convenient copy+paste format.

As of right now there is a strong chance of attending again this year. Will be in my CS 350z this time.

I know of a slightly better CS 350Z for sale maybe. It's a track option, a little lighter, wider wheels and higher revving engine. But it isn't blue.

Just today I bought some parts for my 2017 Lincoln plan. Hoping to take the Focus to Nebraska twice this year. Spring and summer nationals.

I am thinking a similar strategy, do both Lincoln events and Grissom.

Tentative schedule:
Spring Nats
Nats
Grissom
Indy TnT
CIR Weekend (2-3)
CCSCC (2-5)
Chicago (2-5)

Most likely my total event day count will be in the 12-15 days, that seems to keep most parties happy.

How much time is it worth to qualify and attend the ProSolo finale in Lincoln, vs just running on the T'nT to get used to Lincoln grip levels and how the car performs?
Contemplating to sign up for the ProSolo bundle and in case I do well I may get contingencies to offset costs a little and get more practice in Lincoln.

The last few times I felt like, if I had gotten just a little more practice, I could've done better. But in 2011 and 2013 the car felt totally different on the T'nT courses.

Downside would be less local events since, just like Ray I'm limited in total Autox days through the year. I may get a total of 20 days away from family for autox this year if I play my brownie points right.
