I understand lower TW is allowed if they are the OEM tires. Is that correct?

SCCA decided to let lower TW rated tires compete in Street at regional events if they are installed from factory. However they're not allowed at national level events.
On top of that CCSCC isn't affiliated with SCCA and we decided to go TW 200 a while ago across the board for Street, Street touring and Classic American classes. Because CCSCC events are serious business.

I'll be showing up on OEMs. I understand they're 140TW (I've not double-checked). I'm also told they don't perform as well as the 200TW (RE71Rs?) I could mount.

But if I purchase one more tire and wheel set before selling about three, I'll kill myself before my wife has the chance.

Hm, but if the OEMs bump me to another class, what mods can I run?

I didn't even realize the stock tires were 140. I only ran my FiST one day last year. Guess I wont be burning off what is left of them at an event in the spring. No wonder they only lasted 28k miles.
