Schools are good, but the regularity you get out of driving the same car with someone much faster than you is huge for development.

That's an option for some as well. Consistency of co-drive helps as does someone who is highly communicative.

You're both quite right; those are good ideas. I think I tend to keep to myself a bit in between runs. I could make good use of my time by riding along with some quicker guys--and there are lots of them.

Perhaps towards the start of the season, I'll see if I can arrange a stable co-driver/teacher relationship.

Meanwhile, I'll hit the kart track in St. Louis on my days off.

What is our treadwear rating for local events? Is it still 180? or have we moved to 200 like it is for nationals?
