Wow... going way back for that slam.

I was like 93rd of 110 in PAX. I'm not sure I have ever been that slow.

I seen that you went with a 225 tire? Why did you decide to under tire if you will? Just wondering more then anything?

I was set to factory toe. I think it was a tire issue. I will post some pictures of the rear tires I was on when I pull them off later this week. I will probably run one more event with these settings on new tires and adjust pressures. If it is still spinning like a top I will get creative with the alignment... or learn how to drive. one of the two.

Not that I've done my share of mass changes at one time but it has always been my experience that when you do a lot of changes, frustration will ensue. Last year, I did that with the diff, spring rates and alignment and was chasing my tail for a few events. Just remember for the next 3-5 events, work on two steps forward and only one back.

Going from Rs to 140s and catastrophic understeer to less understeer are never easy. You did them both at the same time, on slippery, freezing cold asphalt. Give yourself some credit that you even showed up

I'm assuming you run in TIM YOYO mode. Try leaving DTC on for a few runs until you get the hang of it. The EBD and rudimentary torque vectoring do some amazing things when it is slick.

Note also that leaving full DSC on is basically a waste of a run.

Agree - my worst results are usually right after multiple upgrades

thanks for the boost. on the way home i was wondering why i didn't turn the DSC off and just run with TC on. oh well i will try and get it sorted little by little. The next event will be on new tires as well so if i change the alignment at all i will give myself a bit more toe in the rear and keep playing with the pressures. by the end of the day i was at 36 in front and 34 in the rear with no fold over... but also no heat in either of them.

hell i might throw the R compounds back on and run DSP (or whatever i would be in) at the next event for grins.

I am not running "full size" tires because they don't fit on my car. i could go with a 255 in the rear but the 225's on 8" wheels give me less than a finger space between the strut and my tire. the fronts are already offset quite a bit and the tires are only inside the top of my wheel arches. anything larger would be rolling the fenders and i don't want to do that to this car quite yet. maybe once it is paid off.

I was talking to alex and he said that when he was working the course he saw me turn in and thought "ok he is taking it easy. he won't spin this time" and then he saw the side of my car and then the tail lights. the good news is that the car doesn't flop side to side anymore while i am changing direction, and it doesn't snap around after sudden right left right anymore.... unfortunately it just turns around on the first change of direction. ill get it sorted eventually, i just feel bad for the corner workers.

So... you run with full DSC?

To be clear:
DSC = don't touch the button. Full retard throttle cut and simply insane understeer correction (creation). No doubt stupid enough to cause the oversteer problems you experience. Can make the car go straight with 90 degrees of steering lock, ask me how I know.
DTC = touch the button once. Smart throttle cut and excellent oversteer prevention in slick conditions.
TIM YOYO = hold button for 3s. That's It Motherf----r You're On Your Own.

I had everything off. I should have pressed the button once and tried that, instead of holding it down.

you lost me with all of your fancy abbreviations.

I should have heeded the warning.
