why is that kids head turned at the camera but his hat is facing forward? was it the wind?

what does your EXIF data look like? I'm on a POS so I can't right click and check it if it's still attached.

gave rolling shots a try... just some random panning shots of strangers' cars.

those are from the Newport Hillclimb, which is hold every year on the first weekend in October in Newport Indiana since 42 consecutive years.

Its a pretty steep hill for the midwest and its alot of fun.

And I have at least 100 more pics, from the 2 times we were there.

Thanks guys. I'm sorry, but I don't really understand what you mean by "how?". Do you know what the word "panning" means? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panning_(camera)

I guess I can list my equipment and exact camera settings, but that won't do you any good unless you happen to have the same equipment, and even then it would only be helpful if you were standing in the same spot I was, taking pictures of the same things...

FWIW I used a Canon EOS 30D with a Tamron 17-50mm F/2.8. If you go to my flickr page you can snoop at my metadata, I don't erase it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mattellermets/4129720777/meta/
