I've got the replacements in-hand, but their instructions say to follow the OEM instructions for removal of the stockers. They're not preloaded, right? Just get her up on 4 jackstands and wrench away, correct?
Shouldn't make a difference, but this is on the Celica.
Thanks.

What year celica? Do you have the FSM for it?
I'd take their advice, and read the instructions first. ;)

SHould just be able to wrench away, but might want to check the FSM firstjust incase...

Yeah, like I've got one of those.
Celica site says allen wrench and a 12 or 14mm wrench. Allen seems to slip. Nifty. May cut the suckers off.

Remove old, insert new, adjust for proper placement on sway bar, tighten. All in 2 beers. ;) (I just did mine today when I raised the car)

There's a link that says "download." It takes you to another site, and the whole thing is 30.54MB.

Thanks. I started with the troublesome (read: noisy) one first. Toyota said there was a problem with that one. Well, seems there certainly is. A 5mm allen wrench is used to still the bolt and a 14mm wrench is used to unbolt the thing.
Problem is, I can use the allen and turn the nut all day with no progress. So, I decided, what the hell, and got out the trusty hacksaw. That worked great, as far as cutting it off is concerned. The nut's still in place.
It seems there's a lip on the outside of the flange on the sway bar that is connected to that bolt with the allen head. I can hold that lip so it won't rotate and turn that bolt all day also. If I use the allen wrench, when I turn it, that lip turns. I can't get between the lip and the sway flange, nor between the nut and the sway flange on the other side. But, something tells me that's EXACTLY what I'm going to have to do, eventually, so I can cut one or the other off.
And folks wonder why I pay others to work on my cars. *Laugh* Shit like this ALWAYS happens. If there was ONE competent f'ing shop in the area, it would be really, really nice. Can't get in to see the next one 'til Tuesday, as it is. Not sure I'm going to make any progress otherwise.
Ah, well, back to it! *Laugh*

Impact gun would have taken it off in 2 seconds.

Took the saw to the nut, from the top. It's off. One endlink replaced before we headed out for movie and dinner. Get the rest tomorrow when I get home from work.
Powergridinc.com for your enlinks! Very slick, adjustable, quality stuff.

Alot of times we'll just torch them off if they're stubborn...
Vice grips on the rubber boot/ball-joint work when the torx/allen stud is rusted or rounded, sometimes, as well.

Yeah, I tried channel locks since the vice grips wouldn't fit back there. That damn nut or the bolt HAD to be stripped, the way it would spin while the other piece was locked.
Interesting. Always keep a hacksaw around... *Laugh*

lol... a gas axe is indeed awesome to behold.
Cut and/or heat. Heat, alone, is a beautiful thing at times, working with frozen fasteners.
