Not into the midnight scene... thinking 7-8ish and hope for not too huge crowds. Definitely outta there before mayhem...

Wasn't planning on it, there is the yearly car show/ cruise night in Streator on Saturday.

I'd probably be up for it, but I do not get home from work until 7PM and then drive 2 hours to Cordova...too much work.

We won't be going this weekend but my wife and I were there last Saturday. We were taking a drive on the Great River Road and started in Moline. We decided to go north for a while and came across an NHRA event.

And saw some of these...

I had a blast (can't same the same for my wife). I really enjoyed watching the jr drag racers run.

The night was a bust in more ways than one. Too many cars, I left home late, and two hour wait for clean-up after someone's tranny exploded and they didn't stop after it happened...

But tearing up my front diff/transfer case was, perhaps, the worst part. She drove home at 65, somehow, and I was planning on upgrading it this month anyway. But, I still don't have a decent run for the Evo on her new tune, yet. Oh well, another few weeks!
