CICENet is currently undergoing some site re-designing.

Things will be available as normal until then, but Speedfire will no longer be supported until I have figured out what is causing the bug that causes people to receive security token errors.

I am not going to insult the new logo. Having people say your work sucks is very discouraging.
It definitely needs to be rethought though.
One thing to improve would be a totally different speedo maybe with the needle sweep upon rollover because we need something totally useless and amusing for half a second.. Sorta like CII with the lambo door at the top that opened to just say "blah blah blah coming soon"

One thing i learned is to never put something up if there is not gonna be anything there. Like these dumbass websites that have things to click but it all says "coming soon" or "under construction". Thats just bad development.

But enough about CII.

I just want the brown back. Even though i didnt like that wheel in the brown banner, it was definitely better.

SO lets do something like that. The winner who's image is picked to be at the top of the site will receive a permanent spot in the Forum Supporters group (no google ads) and two free stickers.

reverse the black/white so that it will flow w/ the white background of the new color scheme, change the bottom font to the CICENET logo font as you've suggested, and we might have a winner.

john's banner is awesome but if you switch it from black to white it will look horrible. the red of the gauge will not contrast enough. and you can't just switch the sweeping needle from black to white.

You also need to up the RPMs to 10k! I think I know where you can get a pic of the same tach with a 9k redline maxing out at 10k.

But then it doesnt look right because you just have a gauge sitting out there in the white. The edge of the banner dies at the edge of the white area on the page. with absolute positioning it will stay against the edge and look fine.

It makes no sense to me to just place a gauge all by it lonesome where you can totally see the entire thing, but being cut off in it seems to look alot better to me.

I think this looks okay.

I still think the simple tach used in scrapin_frame's earlier banners is the better way to go. In my opinion, a logo should be somewhat... "abstract." Not quite sure if that's the best choice of words, but that's the word I can think of off the top of my head.

- make all of the text upper case
- match the red on the tach to the red used on the site
- add a matching thin red line placed horizontally between the logo and text under it
