Something I dont know alot about. Does anyone have any thoughts on the SVX as a complete car? They have one for sale down the road from me and I have always liked them but this one is an auto which Im not big on but any input would be appreciated.

the SVX is a touring car. geared for top end cruising. only auto but supposidly it has a very good TCU. the interior is unique but i like it... suade door cards and the funky half windows. spark plugs are a two hour job and subaru recomends putting in 100k mile spark plugs that they sell that are like $40 each. if you crack a window you are looking at $1000 for a windshield because they are metal oxide as to not fade the interior... and the ipass cannot be read though it. if you are going to do a brake job you have to order all the shit off the intarweb or speical order it.

overall it is a pretty cool touring car. you can do a manual swap with a WRX transmission but it is a PITA. and there is not alot of room under the hood. from what i hear they are fairly reliable but if something brakes it is again a PITA.

Fun cars to drive, but like Jim said, a real pain! I have worked on a few and they still arn't any easier to work on.

They are actually very easy to make RWD, but by the sounds of it this car should see 6s here in the next year. It would probably be low 7s if it could get traction
